We
arrived in Indianapolis—not for the legendary Indy 500, but for the
electrifying summer IndyCar race. Our golden ticket: a four-day pass that
unlocked the infield, pits, and even the bustling garages, all at a fraction of
the usual price and with blissfully fewer crowds. Each day, we mingled with
racing royalty (Mario Andretti!), caught up-close glimpses of the drivers in action, and filmed
the pulse-pounding spectacle from every angle. Check out the video here!
The highlight? Perched in our Turn 1 seats, hearts racing,
Pete erupted in laughter as we spotted ourselves, larger than life, beaming
on the enormous JumboTron. It was a weekend of adrenaline, access, and
unforgettable memories.(Sorry for the blurry picture, but this is one frame extracted from a video.)
We caught an impressive
display from Colton Herta and the whole Andretti squad, witnessing them in
action throughout the event. The energy at the track was electrifying as fans
cheered for their favorite drivers, and every lap brought another moment of excitement.
Colton Herta’s skill behind the wheel stood out, and the Andretti team worked
seamlessly together, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and strategy.
From the anticipation before the race to the celebrations afterwards, it was a memorable experience that highlighted the dedication and talent at the track.
Our visit to the Andretti Global headquarters was an unforgettable experience, giving us an exclusive
behind-the-scenes look at areas usually off-limits to visitors (the secret,
inner sanctum!). We wandered through the impressive trophy room, marveling at legendary race cars and catching a glimpse of cutting-edge vehicles still in
development. Although photography was strictly prohibited, the sights and
atmosphere left a lasting impression of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. They are in the process of building a new 400,000 square foot headquarters in Indianapolis, scheduled to open in 2025, so we're hoping we will get a chance to tour that someday.

Few traditions in motorsports
are as legendary as kissing the Yard of Bricks after a win at the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway. This famous ritual began when Dale Jarrett celebrated his 1996
NASCAR Brickyard 400 victory by planting a kiss on the historic bricks. Today,
fans can relive this moment themselves on guided museum tours, stopping at the
Yard of Bricks to snap a memorable photo and experience a piece of racing
history firsthand. Did we do it? Of course we did!!

From the roar of the engines at
the starting line to the camaraderie among fellow racers, every aspect of the
adventure was filled with energy and excitement. The atmosphere was electric,
with fans cheering enthusiastically and vibrant banners waving in the crowd. We
found ourselves completely immersed, savoring each heart-pounding lap and
sharing stories with each other long after the races ended. Whether you love
the thrill of competition or simply enjoy being part of a lively community,
this event promises an experience that will linger in your memory for years to
come.
